-TOWNSHIP OF LASALLE PLANNING COMMISSION PUBLIC HEARING

The LaSalle Township Planning Commission will hold a Public Hearing on Thursday, May 19, 2022 at 7:00 p.m. in the LaSalle Township Hall, 4109 LaPlaisance Road, LaSalle, Michigan, to consider the following request: 

 Lawrence & Rita Zorn of 12904 LaPlaisance Road, parcel #5809-130-290-10, are requesting special approval and site plan review to construct a pond under LaSalle Township Ordinance #55, Section 5.46.

 A copy of the application may be reviewed at the LaSalle Township Offices located at 4111 LaPlaisance Road, LaSalle, MI, Monday – Thursday 8:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. 
During the Public Hearing all interested persons will be allowed to comment. Written comments will also be accepted.
Following the Public Hearing, the Planning Commission will vote on the rezoning request and special approve request. LaDeana Morr Clerk

 For your convenience dumpsters will be at the LaSalle Township Hall, located at 4109 LaPlaisance Road on SATURDAY, MAY 14, 2022, from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. ONE DAY ONLY!
You must show proof of being a property owner or resident in LaSalle Township. Items of any size will be accepted including appliances. There will be no charge for disposing of these items.
NO TIRES OF ANY TYPE, NO LARGE TREE STUMPS, NO CONCRETE, AND NO MATRESSES WILL BE ACCEPTED. ALL DEMOLITION MUST BE IN BOXES, CANS OR BAGS.THIS MEANS NO LOOSE DEBRIS, ROOFING, ASHES, ETC.
APPLIANCES THAT CONTAIN FREON MUST BE DRAINED AND PROPERLY TAGGED. WE WILL NOT ACCEPT ANY HAZARDOUS WASTE, I.E. PAINT CANS CONTAINING PAINT, OIL, ETC

The LaSalle Township Zoning Board of Appeals will hold a Public Hearing on Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at 7:00 p.m. in the LaSalle Township Hall, 4109 LaPlaisance Road, LaSalle, Michigan, to consider the following request:

-LASALLE TOWNSHIP LEGAL NOTICE 2022 NOXIOUS WEED CONTROL

TO PROPERTY OWNERS AND OCCUPANTS OF LANDS SITUATED IN LASALLE TOWNSHIP, MONROE COUNTY, MICHIGAN.
            Notice is hereby given that all weeds and brush growing on any lands within the Township of LaSalle (except exempt vegetation) must be cut, and destroyed and removed to prevent such weeds from going to seed or to blossom, from becoming a fire hazard, from perpetuating themselves and/or from creating a condition detrimental to the health, safety, and welfare of the citizens of LaSalle Township.  
            Failure to comply with this notice on or before May 1 shall make the property owner liable for the costs of cutting and removing said weeds, and/or brush by LaSalle Township, said cost to be levied and collected against said lands in the same manner as other taxes are levied and collected, and being a lien against said lands. The Township may cut the weeds and brush as many times as is deemed necessary to achieve compliance with this Ordinance in the discretion of the Building Official and may charge the cost to the property owner.
